The Horizon Award is a special award from the Joint Leadership of the United States Congress and the Congressional Award Board of Directors. The Horizon Award is given to people working in the private sector who have contributed in enhancing opportunities for all Americans. It also honors those who have set exceptional models for youngsters through their accomplishments in life. Tom was an excellent friend and teammate. He was a fan of playing in an experienced and skilled group and practicing hard whenever his Magnum schedule allowed ..... He was conscientious and loved playing with us. ".

Andrea Mitchell, an American journalist and commentator, who works as a commentator for NBC News in Washington D.C. she is a TV anchor. She earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania after growing as a child in New York City. Mitchell began working as a TV and radio reporter at KYW Radio and TV in Philadelphia, KYW Radio and TV.
